Places where the metallic peel and stick wallpaper will be glued on

Just because "wall" is included within the name doesn't mean you simply need to apply wallpaper to walls! Surprisingly, wallpaper and wall murals can successfully adhere to a spread of materials. So, albeit you've got a wall surface that isn't plaster or drywall, the likelihood is that you'll decorate with a metallic peel and stick wallpaper. Here may be a selection of varied surfaces and whether or not wallpaper can stick with it.

Laminate

If you've got a laminate or Formica backsplash in your kitchen, perhaps you would like to update it with a trendy wallpaper pattern or design. thanks to its smooth surface, SmartStick peel-and-stick removable wallpaper is that the most suitable option.

Tiles

In general, wallpaper and wall murals cannot stick with tiles. Sometimes, SmartStick can successfully adhere to ceramic tiles. However, grout lines are likely to point out through the peel-and-stick material.

Wood

One of the simplest ways to hide up outdated wood paneling is using wallpaper. Prep the wood-paneled walls by thoroughly cleaning them and installing a liner paper. Once that's completed, you'll continue to put in Eco Bella™, Vinyl – HD Texture, or Prepasted Wallpaper to wood.

Plywood & Hardboard

Raw plywood and hardboard are too porous of surfaces to stay wallpaper. But if you prime these two materials properly, any wallpaper material will stick with them. Just confirm the fabric guidelines and check which paint or primer is required for the wallpaper to stay.

Textured Walls

We recommend our Eco Bella or Vinyl HD - Texture materials for lightly textured walls, like orange rind and knock-down. Suppose you've got a heavily textured wall, uneven walls, or another rough surface. In that case, we recommend the installation of a 'liner paper', followed by two coats of flat latex before installing a mural. A liner paper is blank wallpaper covering irregularities within the wall surface, allowing the mural to stick securely to the textured wall.

Plastic

Because of its smooth surface, plastic doesn't provide sufficient adhesion for wallpaper paste. If the plastic you would like to stay wallpaper to is rigid and flat, SmartStick peel-and-stick wallpaper is the best choice.

Plaster

Wall murals and wallpaper can stick with plaster, but it's hooked into how textured it's. If it's a lightweight texture, Eco Bella and Vinyl HD – Texture are both good options. If the plaster is heavily textured and uneven, wallpaper won't properly stick with the wall. If you're assailed placing wallpaper on a plaster surface, you'll attempt to smooth and even the walls using an orbital sander. Once you've sanded the whole surface and cleaned it, install liner paper as a precaution. you'll then install a wall mural or wallpaper.

MDF

If you'd rather not undergo the effort wallpapering an entire wall or entire wall, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) may be a fantastic alternative. you'll stick wallpaper to panels and hang them instead. Before installing a wall mural or wallpaper over MDF, you want to prime it. This may allow the wallpaper to stay and stop the MDF from absorbing the paste. After it's been primed, you'll safely apply Eco Bella, Vinyl – HD Texture, or Prepasted Wallpaper to MDF.

Glass

If you would like to feature a design element to a window or glass surface, window film applications are an excellent choice. Besides versatile style, window films provide enhanced privacy, reduce glare, and help minimize energy bills. Three different films are available – clear, frosted, and opaque – supplying you with the choice to customize the design to match your style needs.
